Pisa, Italy:
We got to Roma Termini, and boarded the train to Pisa. When we got to Pisa Centrale station, our original plan was to walk to the leaning tower. After asking around a bit and figuring we had limited time, we just took a bus.
It was a good decision, since the bus drops you off right next to that area. We marveled at the leaning tower when we saw it. The area is really nice as well, lots of grass for picnics, the cathedral beside the tower was huge and magnificent too.
Leaning Tower of Pisa
We took our goofy pics of the leaning tower (which everyone was doing).
There was a souvenir shop nearby, so we bought our stuff: leaning tower keychain and leaning mug.
Piazza del Duomo, Pisa
We then headed back to the station and still had enough time to eat at McDonald’s before the train arrived. We boarded the train to Florence. After about an hour we were at Firenze Santa Maria Novella station. We searched for our inn: Bed & Breakfast Peterson. We were shown to our rooms. The place was nice, and the shared bathroom was clean. Too bad we were only staying for one night.
